SWEET 16 + AU REVOIR

Two things!

1. It was my birthday yesterday. My 'Sweet 16'! I was spoiled to bits by my friends, and had a lovely birthday dinner with family at Ebisu. Sixteen seems like such a good age to be... it seems as though only yesterday I was just an innocent tween on the brink of 'teenagedom'! Is 18 really only two years away?!

2. I'm going to Sydney! Bags are packed, flights booked, on-flight magazines at the ready. I'm literally typing this before rushing out the door! Mum and I are going for a long weekend as a special birthday treat. I'm veeeery excited to shop up a storm, dine out and visit all our old houses there! Sydney really is such an incredible city, and I can't wait to be back there.

LET'S DO RESORT

Down under, a bitter chill is beginning to bite through the air. Coats are being wrapped tighter and woollen scarves unravelled. Winter, regrettably, officially starts this Saturday.

So when the first of the Resort Wear collections popped up on Style.com, it was the mini (virtual) holiday escape I desperately needed. An escape to preppy cruise wear and Hamptons attire; summery florals and tropical prints. Yes, I wasn't going to the Bahamas, but I could still dream about what I would wear if I was, right?!

And gosh, from Oscar de la Renta's bubble dresses to Tory Burch's floral ensembles - this year's Resort Wear had me in a 'whisk-me-away-on-a-luxury-cruise-ASAP' state of mind. You know the one.

So with palm trees and Hampton-getaways on my mind, I present you with some of my favourite looks from the collections! Voilà! Xxx
